The Block Black Walnut End-Grain Cutting Board

The Block is a substantial end grain walnut cutting board designed for prep, chopping, carving, serving, and strong counter presence. Each board features a squared-off butcher-block profile, generous thickness, and carefully finished hardwood surfaces that feel solid, grounded, and built for serious kitchen use. It is a strong choice for home cooks, grillers, entertainers, and anyone looking for a walnut cutting board with traditional butcher-block character.

End-Grain Construction

End-grain construction exposes the ends of the wood fibers, creating a durable cutting surface with the classic butcher-block look. This construction style is prized for its visual depth, traditional character, and ability to stand up to regular kitchen use. The end-grain pattern also gives each board a distinctive appearance, with natural variation from piece to piece.

Walnut Hardwood

Walnut is known for its rich chocolate-brown color, elegant grain, and natural variation. Each walnut Block board may include lighter and darker tones, subtle figure, and individual character that make every board unique. The warmth and depth of walnut make this board well suited for both cutting and serving.

Available Options

The Block is offered in set sizes with optional details to suit how you plan to use or gift the board. Available options may include a juice groove, feet, monogramming, logo engraving, petroleum-free butcher block oil, and oil-and-conditioner care kits. These options allow the board to be customized for carving, counter display, gifting, or general kitchen use.

Use & Care

Use The Block for prep, chopping, carving, serving, and counter display. Wash by hand only, dry promptly, and avoid soaking or dishwashers. Recondition the board as needed with food-safe butcher block oil or conditioner to help preserve the wood and maintain its finish.

Please Note

Because hardwood is a natural material, variations in color, grain, figure, and end-grain pattern are expected. These natural differences are part of the character of each end grain walnut cutting board and may vary from the photos shown.
