Custom Maple Desktop Details
Handcrafted in Colorado from sustainably sourced hard maple, our custom maple desktops are built to order for home offices, standing desk frames, executive desks, studios, creative workspaces, and custom furniture projects. Each desktop is made to your selected dimensions, thickness, edge profile, finish, and project details.
Desk frame, legs, and hardware are not included unless specifically noted.
Hard Rock Maple Hardwood
Hard maple is known for its light cream color, fine grain, strength, and durability. It may include subtle natural color variation, mineral streaks, and occasional figure depending on the board selection and finish.
Maple is a strong option for desktops that need a clean, bright, and practical work surface without feeling visually heavy.
Wide Plank Construction
Wide plank desktops are made from wider hardwood boards selected and arranged to highlight the natural grain of the wood. This construction style creates a furniture-like surface with fewer glue lines than traditional butcher block, making it especially well suited for desks, workstations, conference tables, and statement office furniture.

Design & Functional Add-Ons
Every maple desktop is made to order and can be tailored to your workspace. Available options may include edge profiles, finish systems, rounded corners, grommet holes, and an integrated wireless charger.
If you select grommets, charging features, rounded corners, or other functional details, our design team will confirm placement, layout, and technical details before production.
Finish Options
Every maple desktop is available with a range of finish options based on the intended use of the piece. Choose from natural oil finishes, Rubio Monocoat, or more protective finish systems depending on whether the desktop will be used for writing, computer work, daily office use, or a higher-wear commercial environment.
Rubio Monocoat is available in a range of colors, which can be reviewed on the Rubio Monocoat color guide. Some Rubio color selections may require additional charges depending on the color, application requirements, or project specifications.
Measuring & Ordering
This custom maple desktop is built to your selected dimensions, thickness, edge profile, finish, and project details.
Enter your desktop dimensions in whole inches, then use the “Plus” fields to add any fractional inch measurement. Width or depth is measured across the grain, while length is measured in the direction of the wood grain. For more help, see our sizing guidelines.
If your project requires unusual sizing, matching pieces, special edge details, base coordination, grommets, wire management, charging cutouts, rounded corners, or other custom details, include those notes when ordering or contact us before placing your order.
Lead Time & Shipping
Most custom maple desktops are built after the order is placed. Lead times vary based on size, thickness, finish selection, wood availability, production schedule, and project complexity.
Finish selection can affect production time. Rubio Monocoat, tung oil, and protective film finishes may require additional curing or handling time before the desktop can be packaged safely.
Desktops are carefully packaged for shipment after finishing and final inspection. Shipping time depends on destination, size, weight, and carrier requirements. Before delivery, please review our shipping and receiving guidelines so you know what to expect when your desktop arrives.
Use & Care
Allow your desktop time to acclimate to its environment before installation or final placement. Store it flat, fully supported, and away from direct heat, moisture, or extreme humidity changes.
Solid wood responds to changes in temperature and humidity, so proper support, finish care, and routine maintenance are important. For complete guidance, review our installation and care instructions.
Please Note
Because maple is a natural hardwood, variations in grain, color, figure, mineral streaks, and plank layout are expected. These natural differences are part of the character of each maple desktop and may vary from the photos shown.
We recommend ordering a sample of your preferred species and finish when final color is important, as the finished tone of the wood may vary across finish options.
