Custom butcher block countertops composed for the room, the client, and the way the piece will be used.

Each surface is tailored to its project, with species, grain, scale, finish, and construction details chosen for the space it will serve.

Custom Butcher Block Countertops

We build custom butcher block countertops, kitchen islands, bar tops, tabletops, and hardwood work surfaces from solid wood. Each top is built to order in our Denver shop and can be made in edge grain, end grain, or wide-plank construction depending on the look, use, and finish requirements.

Our butcher block countertops are custom-built for kitchens, islands, bars, restaurants, and commercial spaces, rather than sold as unfinished stock slabs. Unlikestock butcher block from big-box stores, our countertops can be fabricated to your dimensions, sanded, sealed, and finished so they arrive ready for installation by your contractor or cabinet shop.

Composed
Stave by Stave

Each custom butcher block begins with hand-selected lumber, matched within a consistent color range.

Boards are paired so grain and tone flow across each seam, elevating each joint into a deliberate design element.

Built and Finished for Daily Life

The right butcher block countertop depends on more than wood species. Construction style, finish, thickness, overhangs, sink exposure, and daily use all affect how the piece should be built.

From Design to Delivery

We guide each project from early design decisions through fabrication, delivery, and installation preparation.

Custom Butcher Block vs Stock Slabs

Stock butcher block slabs are often sold in standard sizes, unfinished or lightly finished, and made with shorter staves that are finger-jointed together. That construction can make sink cutouts, cooktop openings, shaping, and edge work more difficult on site, and it may be less durable over time.

Our butcher block countertops are built to the project’s dimensions, including sink or cooktop cutouts and joinery where multiple pieces meet. Each piece is then hand-sanded, detailed, sealed, and finished before delivery, so it arrives ready for installation by your contractor or cabinet shop.
